Please join Oehme Graphics for our 2018 Printmaking Workshops:

2018 Summer Workshops:

June 18-22

July 16-20

August 6-10

Also available for private workshops. Call to schedule.

Oehme Graphics tailors each workshop to each student's specific needs and desires, based on discussions with Master Printer, Susan Oehme. We touch upon multiple aspects of monoprinting, copper etching, collograph and solar plate etching among other topics, and participants will have ample time on our two presses.

Taught by our Master Printer, each class runs Monday-Friday, 9:30 am - 4:30 pm and includes our famous healthy OG Luncheon in the upstairs gallery. Evenings provide additional unsupervised studio time. The cost is $980 per five-day workshop*.  As of 2018, Workshops are NOW limited to only 4 participants, which means more time with the print staff. Your tuition includes daily demonstrations and one on one time with the Master Printer, five full size sheets of cotton rag printing paper, oil and watercolor ink. Metal, Plexiglas or Solar plates and additional or different paper can be purchased directly from OG.

Any additional materials will be billed at cost plus 10% at the completion of the workshop. Very often, out of town students will opt to have their work shipped back in order to print the last day, and those packing and shipping fees will be billed uoon shipment. Deposit equal to 50% of total workshop fee due no later than 60 days prior to workshop. Balance due 30 days before start of workshop. Full deposits are refundable less 10% administration fee, up to 30 days prior to start date. Participants are responsible for room and board, and OG does offer housing on a first come first serve basis. The large OG bedroom can be a single or double occupancy for $75 per night, and the small room is a single at $60 per night. Please contact us for information about other special discounted accommodations.

Steamboat Springs offers a variety of adventure and activities for any travel companions not participating in the workshops. In addition to world class Alpine and Nordic skiing, other outdoor activities include snowshoeing, Mountain and road biking, fantastic hiking, horseback riding, and relaxing visits to the hot springs. The Winter Workshop experience coincides with our best skiing conditions. Visit www.steamboat.com for detailed resort information.  If you have never visited the Rocky Mountains during the summer, our workshops in our warm months reveal the magical inspiration of the Colorado landscape. The staff at Oehme Graphics would be thrilled to recommend any non-printmaking activities for both you and your friends and family, and we often organize and lead summertime hikes after class.

* Reserve your space 90 days prior to your workshop for a 5% discount.

If you have a specific idea for a class, or are group of artists with a specific topic in mind for a workshop, please contact the studio.
