Katherine Bowling lives and works in New York, New York. She received her B.F.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Bowling’s work is in the collection of University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Aurora, Colorado; the Mary and Leigh Block Museum of Art, Evanston, Illinois; The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, New York; the Orlando Museum of Contemporary Art, Orlando, Florida; St. John’s University, Santa Fe, New Mexico; the Brooklyn Museum of Art, Brooklyn, New York; the Phoenix Art Museum, Phoenix, Arizona; the Norton Museum of Art, West Palm Beach, Florida; and the Fisher Landau Center, Long Island City, New York. She is represented by the DC Moore Gallery. Her work has also been shown at Greenberg Van Doren Gallery and Blum Helman Gallery. She received a McDowell Colony Fellowship in 2012, the National Endowment for the Arts Grant in 1991, a New York State Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in 1989, and the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation Fellowship in 1988.

 

Katherine came to Oehme Grapics in July 2011 and created thirteen monotypes entitled Snowman I-X, Grass I and II, on vellum and matboard. She also produced four beautiful, rich, winter-themed aquatint and spitbite etchings called Winter I-V, and one lovely forest scene, titled Cabin, as well as a solar plate print with chine collé for OG’s Stairway to Heaven series, entitled My Father’s Ashtray.
